William Fisher

Chief Executive Officer

William has run media businesses on 4 continents. He was part of the team that launched STAR TV (Asia’s leading satellite service with 300m viewers in 55 countries), where he was responsible for the JV that became BBC World News. He also oversaw HBO’s Asian business. Most recently he was CEO of the Emmy Award-winning company that produced the investigative series American Justice, Gangland, Inside 9/11 and Storm Stories. William has degrees from Yale and Columbia University and is a former Fulbright Scholar. His publications on the media business have appeared in three languages.


Taylor Kirch

Chief Information Officer & Co-Chief Product Officer

Taylor is a versatile information scientist with a special interest in web taxonomies and ontologies, as well as user experience design. She co-founded the technology and design company Conus30, and is exploring multiple creative directions in user-based marketplaces and interface design for web and mobile applications. Taylor has a BA from Northwestern and a MLS from the University of Illinois, where she was received the Entrepreneurial Promise Award. She currently works at Pandora as Lead Librarian, helping people discover new music they will love.


Karen McLaughlin

Chief Revenue Officer

Karen was formerly Director of Partner Development and Director of Acquisitions for Getty Images. She built Getty’s third-party video partner program with the company’s largest clients, including Discovery, Disney, Sky News, Universal Studios, and Warner Bros. She was responsible for $6m of licensing revenue per year. and for the evaluation and acquisition of content collections. Karen was educated at the Rochester Institute of Technology.


Tre Tomaszewski

Chief Technology Officer & Co-Chief Product Officer

Tre is a prolific full stack developer with a background in industrial and multimedia design. As a co-founder of Conus30 he has designed and produced highly scalable data and content management platforms. Tre has a degree in Fine & Applied Arts with a focus on industrial / product design from the University of Illinois.


Edward Hernstadt

General Counsel

Named one of “New York’s Best Lawyers" and “New York’s Super Lawyers" each year from 2007 to the present, Ed has litigated high-profile and complex intellectual property and First Amendment cases. He has degrees from Columbia (B.A) and the University of Pennsylvania (J.D., cum laude, Order of the Coif), where he was Articles Editor of the Law Review. Ed appears as a legal commentator on MSNBC, CNBC, CNNfn, and National Public Radio.


Tim Hanlon


Tim is Founding CEO of Vertere Group and a thought leader on the convergence of media and technology. He founded Velociter, the strategic investment arm of Interpublic’s Mediabrands, where he was responsible for driving innovation through relationships with early stage companies such as BLiNQ Media, Circle Street and Machinima. He also launched and ran Publicis’ investment arm, VivaKi Ventures. Tim has advised over 50 media-related startups, including Brightcove, Blinkx, and Sling Media.


Robin Rutledge


Robin is GM of Content Services for Crawford Media. He founded MediaRecall (acquired by Deluxe Entertainment Group), where he set up the company’s distributed workforce and created its software and web applications. He also established the company’s service agreements with global clients including BBC, Getty, ITN, NHK and PBS. Robin has collected more than 800 cameras and enjoys chewing up the road in his BMW R1200 RT on the weekend.
